ACT 2.4.1 Date of Birth Project

The objective of this project was to design, develop, and build a circuit that displays my birthdate (8/7/02) using only combinational logic. I completed this project through the process of determining the logic of the circuit, drawing the circuit on paper, making the circuit on multisim software, and finally, making the circuit on the breadboard.

Ethics in Engineering Presentation

In my junior year PLTW class, digital electronics, I was challenged to research and create a presentation that highlighted a real world engineering project that crossed the line of ethics in engineering. My presentation was on the BF Goodrich Air Force A7D Brake Problem and is linked below with a video of myself presenting.

Capstone Project - USB Type B

The images to the right are of our final prototype for our capstone project. This prototype is a wireless USB hub, which allows the user to connect extra external devices to their computer via USB connection. Our overall goal was to create an automated USB switch on the USB hub, which would allow the user to either preset certain USBs to turn off after they have been idle for a certain amount of time via our code, or allow the user to manually turn off USBs when desired. However, given our time and resources, we were unable to develop our software for the USB switch, create a shell to protect the circuitry in the USB hub, or develop an app that would allow users to check their USB hub's status, manage USBs, and learn more about how they can conserve electricity.
